DormMap is the official GIS-powered web portal created under the supervision of the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) and the Municipality of Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro. It connects students, tenants, and property owners with legally verified boarding houses across all 28 barangays.

The platform digitizes dormitory accreditation and listing, making it easier for students — especially those attending Mindoro State University (MinSU), Bongabong National High School, Eastern Mindoro College, TESDA, and other institutions — to find safe, affordable, and verified housing near their schools.

What is DormMap and who manages it?

DormMap is the official digital boarding house platform of the Municipality of Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro. It is managed by the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) under the local government unit (LGU). The platform ensures all listed boarding houses are legally verified and compliant with municipal regulations.

How do I register as a tenant on DormMap?

Registering is free and easy. Click the Register button, select the Tenant role, fill in your full name, email, and set a password. After registering, you can immediately browse verified boarding houses and send inquiries to owners.

How do I list my boarding house on DormMap?

Register as a Boarding House Owner, complete your profile, then submit your property details including address, room types, pricing, amenities, and photos. The BPLO reviews your listing before publishing. You must present valid business permits and BPLO clearance to get verified.

Are all boarding houses on DormMap verified?

Yes. All boarding houses must pass the BPLO verification process: (1) Municipal Business Permit, (2) Fire Safety Inspection Certificate from BFP, (3) Sanitary Permit from the Municipal Health Office, and (4) Barangay Clearance. Listings that do not meet these requirements are not published.

How does the map and GPS navigation work?

DormMap uses OpenStreetMap (OSM). When you allow location access, the platform detects your position and shows nearby boarding houses sorted by distance. You can get turn-by-turn directions from your current location or from any school campus (MinSU, BNHS, EMC, etc.) to your chosen boarding house.

How do I pay my rent online through DormMap?

Once registered as a tenant and accepted by a boarding house owner, pay monthly rent through your Tenant Dashboard. Supported methods include GCash, PayMaya, and Cash (in-person). A digital receipt is automatically generated and sent to both you and the owner.

Is DormMap free to use?

Yes. DormMap is completely free for tenants and students. No subscription fees for searching, inquiring, or viewing listings. For boarding house owners, registration and listing management are also free — the platform is funded and maintained by the Municipality of Bongabong as a public service initiative.
